The Love that lasts Forever - a visit to the Taj Mahal

Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, the world's most enduring symbol of love and passion. There are few experiences to match seeing it bathed in the light of dawn. Few things bring up the gasps in the viewer as this marble building that always feels much bigger than what you imagined it to be.

Agra has glorious history with Emperor Akbar setting up the city as Akbarabad, which later came to be known as Agra. The Fort here still holds the area where Akbar sat to listen to grievances and administrated law and order. However, it was the great Mughal's grandson, Shah Jahan that put Agra on the world map with his symbol of love, the Taj Mahal, for his beloved queen Mumtaz.
